Radiohead's masterpiece that guides me through the decades. Or centuries. While I got my hands on "OK Computer" some time in 1998 in Brighton, it was this piece that had its most lasting impression on me. During that time, me and my partner and later wife had a flat in Frankfurt while she already lived in Brighton. I usually flew in on Thursday evening and out on Sunday evening. Ridiculous, but feeling very important, it was this very song or record that kind of leveled me at the time. It worked like an antidote against the yuppie-life I had been living for years.

Some stuff on music, how it connects to my life - and maybe the odd suggestion in how my "favorite neighbour" could understand this life. Not that she would need that, being much smarter than I am. But funnily enough, it does help me to articulate things, to understand me own life.

The basis of this discussion is that Mervin King suggested the IMF should become a non-resident board, IMF might be in charge of lending decisions, but the management should be much more independent. Thomas Mirow, President of ERDB, recommends to be cautious. "All that is decided, has daily impact on the people." To think "the people will just be doing fine" would be naive (err...
